Privacy policy
Last updated: [launch date]
Flintlever ("we", "us") is [legal business name, or "a sole proprietorship operated by Nilvan [surname]"], based in [city, province], Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- When you email us (for example at [email protected]): your name, email address, and whatever you choose to tell us about your business.
- When you become a client: contact and billing details, and the business information needed to build your automations. Client systems may contain personal information about your own customers or staff; we handle that only on your instructions, under our agreement with you.
- When you visit the website: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and discuss a possible project.
- To deliver, support and invoice our services.
- To meet legal and tax obligations.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for any other purpose without asking you first.
AI tools and client data
Our work involves AI models (for example from Anthropic and OpenAI) and automation platforms (for example n8n, Make and Zapier). When we process client data with these services, we:
- use only what the workflow needs;
- use business or API accounts whose terms say your data isn't used to train their models, where the provider offers this;
- tell you which services a build uses before it goes live; and
- delete or hand back working copies of your data when the project ends, unless you ask us to keep them.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the business: [email provider], Cloudflare (website hosting), [accounting or invoicing tool], and, for client projects, the AI and automation platforms named in your project. Some are outside Canada (mostly in the United States), so your information may be processed there and be subject to those countries' laws. We choose providers with appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become projects: up to 12 months.
- Client records: as long as the relationship lasts, plus the period required by tax law (generally six years in Canada).
How we protect it
Encrypted connections (HTTPS), two-factor authentication on our accounts, access limited to the people who need it, and secure deletion when information is no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or withdraw your consent (subject to legal or contractual limits). Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
